Canon t3 in three new colors

Canon T3 In More Colors

Canon Colors

That’s right- if you’re one of the multitude who have been thinking about buying a Canon T3 but just really couldn’t do it until they were available in a shiny brown finish, now is your time! Our friends over at Canon have taken a cue from the Pentax k-x (available in 100 colors), sort of. They’ve introduced, for a limited time, three additional colors for their entry-level SLR, the T3: metalic red, grey, and brown.

These technicolor beauties are only available from the Canon Direct Store, and for a limited time.

FWIW, a coworker is eyeing this camera where it is on sale right now at SAMS Club in a bundle that contains two lenses (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III), a 4GB memory card and a gadget bag for $599.

@Mike Scott Interesting that you would say that about the red one. I was going to jokingly post that I wanted to show up at a client shoot or a wedding with the red one only because pink or mauve wasn’t available.

Finally! It certainly took them long enough.

I think this calls for one of your famous three-column camera comparison charts, Matt. I’ll grant you that these three new models probably share a substantially number of specs and features, but I do think it would be helpful if you could at least give us some general thoughts on the pros and cons that each of the new colors might offer to users depending on on one’s shooting style, etc. (Personally, I’m guessing that the shiny brown model might produce just *slightly* higher image quality when shooting landscapes, while the red one excels when used for portrait work.)
