I wish I were in the right part of the world for this one… it won’t be visible at all here on the east coast, if I understand the time tables correctly.

Hi Bruce,
I’m actually in the process of making a video to go along with the histogram articles (sorta like the Exposure one goes along with the 3 Basics articles), but I’ve been a little busy lately, so I’m […]

Hey Deb,
When it comes down to it, the image quality of the 5D Mark II is a little better than that of the 7D. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s there. So, if you have the money to spend on a 5D, the only […]

hmm, it’s not really supposed to be chubby; side effect of an over-sized head, I think. I wasn’t going for a true likeness, of course, just something that might look give the impression of me.

I have some sort of compulsive behavior, I think, when it comes to taking pictures of alligators. When I see alligators, I have to stop and take pictures. I must have a thousand alligator pictures, and they all look pretty much the same, and I have no use for them, but I still take them.

Alfred, you’ve met me in the real world… well, not the real world; it was disney world, but close enough. What do you think? Does the cartoon version resemble me at all?

In the first edit of the video, the AYB phrase was only up there for a sec, and i figured nobody would notice it, so i purposefully extended it a few frames longer than the other terms, just so that it would stick […]

Hi James,
Although the Mark II and the 7D are separated by a year, chronologically, they’re both technologically part of the same generation; I can’t think of any significant new features found on the 7D that […]

Hi Natasha,
If the question were: “new 60D or used 5D Mark II?”, I’d recommend the 5D MkII in an instant, for the type of work you do. If you really mean the original 5D, though, I’m not so positive. The […]

It took me a long time to start appreciating flash photography, too… years and years. Before that, I used flash when I had to, either to get enough light or to stop action, but I didn’t actually like it, because I […]

Sorry for the delay; I’m not sure how I missed your comment for so long! Busy week, I guess.
