This evening, Sigma announced the addition of two new lenses to their Fuji X-mount lineup: the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary and the 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, increasing the total number of Sigma X-mount lenses to six.
The popular 23mm f/1.4 | C is well loved for its 35mm equivalent field of view and excellent image quality at f/1.4. Fujifilm has their own 23mm f/1.4 lenses, but at $900 each when you can find one is stock, they won’t fit into everyone’s budget, while the Sigma’s $550 price tag is somewhat more palatable.
Similarly, the Sigma 100-400 f/5.6 to 6.3 | C will provide a welcome additional option to Fuji shooters who might balk at the $1900 price tag of the XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens. The Sigma will cost nearly $1000 less at $949.
Expect both Fuji mount lenses to reach store shelves on September 21st. As usual, both lenses will be available for pre-order from your favorite retailers, such as B&H Photo and Adorama.
