Tamron’s highly anticipated 40th Anniversary SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD lens will be hitting store shelves in just a few weeks on June 25 & 26th (for Canon and Nikon mount, respectively), priced right around $899.
The Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD has the potential to become the best 35mm lens on the market. Dubbed “the ultimate lens”, representatives of Tamron say that they’ve put the best of their 40 years of lens design into this weather-sealed model, with top of the line resolution, aberration correction (color fringing and coma), autofocus, and general handling, all at a price that is significantly less than the Canon ( $1,999.00) or Nikon equivalents ( $1,696.95). The Tamron lens does not include stabilization, unfortunately, but neither do the others.
